but inside I'm just wild trying to see if my mistakes are right
to see if i can grow from them and try to be a better man

its not that I don't hope for brighter days and safer night times
but i know it take a while to find the right lines
sweat and tears the only things you ever got for free

my mom said i should always stay true and keep my dreams
my dad said follow cash to see the root of peoples schemes
cus men are money motivated and thats what makes america
instead of chasing cash you should be chasing for some character
and trust me im no better in my polo and my jordan fives
I know we're all consumers but im saying there is more to life
its just i understand these problems have some deeper roots
they cut through corners but the culprits don't wear cheaper suits
I'm talking lobbyists, the ceo’s and corporate lawyers
the politicians and the interest groups who are employers
this system needs an upgrade lets push the legislation
they say you fall or fly and, it seems the ledge is waiting
but we don't want to jump off we think they'll offer more
while congressmen got jump-offs behind their office doors
we cannot wait for change we need some strong directions
to point this movement forward until the next election
because lets face it, bankers just ignore the protests
and politicians shun the youth because we always vote less
we need some progress, the problems based on corporate greed
banks got golden parachutes while they allow the poor to bleed
this problem has more layers man i promise there is more to see
